As a Duke Corporate Education regional managing director, Michael Serino has developed programs to help research scientists allocate and deploy resources, and a learning strategy and architecture for a pharmaceutical’s commercial division as they altered their go-to-market strategy. Other key clients include an international oil company, financial services firms, and manufacturing companies.  Prior to joining Duke CE, Michael was Senior Director, Executive Development and Knowledge Strategy at Merck & Company. He directed and managed executive education and development programs, also directing action learning initiatives focused on enhancing collaboration and enabling knowledge-based strategy execution. Further, he enabled marketing and research operating units to improve innovation, operational effectiveness and organizational capabilities in line with strategic goals; and helped streamline the end-to-end process from drug discovery through commercialization. Prior to joining Merck, he was Director of Organizational Capabilities at The Coca Cola Company and a Senior Knowledge Management Consultant in the Coca-Cola Learning Consortium, where he helped improve the company’s ability to learn and share knowledge about the marketplace and in operations management. Michael was a management consultant for 15 years in Boston, co-founding three professional service firms that assisted Fortune 500 companies with organizational learning, marketing and change management initiatives.
