She has over 30 years experience both as a consultant and as an internal HR Business Partner along with being a Leadership & OD executive in large, global organizations, including many years at JPMC.
Chief Strategy Officer
Jeanette Gorgas is Chief Strategy Officer of Grant Thornton LLP, and leads the Office of Strategy Management (OSM). Jeannette works with the OSM partner and the senior leadership team to design, align and implement the firm's strategy. With over 20 years of experience working with CEOs and executives at major global organizations, she focuses on accelerating firm performance via cohesive strategy planning and execution and the advancement of critical, results-driving capabilities, particularly innovation. Her current role includes the leadership of corporate development (mergers & acquisitions and strategic alliances), strategy planning and execution, project management, knowledge management and corporate social responsibility.
Prior experience includes senior officer roles at Deutsche Bank, Bank of America and Weil, Gotshal & Manages. Jeanette also served as Senior Associate Dean for Yale University, overseeing the MBA Program at Yale School of Management, supervising external relations, admissions, academic and career services.
Jeanette graduated with high honors from London School of Economics with a Master of Science (MSc) in Management, and won an achievement award for her research "Inertia in Strategy Implementation: The Effects of Defensive Avoidance and Accountability Gaps."
Jeanette is referenced in the book, Jobs to be Done: A Roadmap for Customer-Centered Innovation, by Stephen Wunker and Jessica Wattman, based on Clay Christensen's "Jobs to be Done" Theory of Innovation.
