From Design Thinking to Design Doing at Cisco:
Four Principles that Lead to Real Change
Design is much more than just how things look. Rather, Design is a skill set and a practice that defines how things work. It enables organizations to identify the right problems to solve -- and then create solutions that are truly desirable. All of this is accomplished by building deep empathy for customers and by applying principles of creativity, collaboration, and experimentation to the way products function. This way of working is called Design Thinking.
Join Jason Cyr, the Director of Design Transformation for Cisco’s Security Business, as he discusses how his billion-dollar business has developed and implemented its Cisco Design Thinking (CDT) program. In this 90-minute interactive session, learn how this global initiative has helped Cisco address HR challenges, such as improving employee on-boarding, creating a lovable culture, and enhancing the hiring and retention of diverse employees. Through specially crafted exercises, attendees will apply the CDT process to explore the power of decision making based on empathy, with the goal of retaining top talent within our respective organizations.
