Will AI replace or enhance the 100-year old science of predicting future job performance from psychological variables? What are the ethical and legal concerns that arise when established talent identification methods are automated and human judgment and expertise is replaced by computer-based algorithms? Finally, what is the role of theory and understanding in a world of AI-based predictions and interventions? These and other related questions on the broad impact of technological innovations on talent identification will be discussed.

Tomas Chamorro-Premuzic is an organizational psychologist who works mostly in the areas of personality profiling, people analytics, and leadership development. He is currently the Chief Talent Scientist at Manpower Group, co-founder of Deeper Signals and Metaprofiling, and Professor of Business Psychology at University College London and Columbia University.
