USING ANALYTICS TO REINVENT WORKFORCE PLANNING
The traditional workforce playbook is obsolete. Rapid changes in technology and demography are reshaping the workplace in profound ways, forcing many people leaders to confront new questions for which relevant previous experience is unavailable.
New times demand new playbooks, which are being reinvented on the fly. New workforce management approaches allocate work between humans, technology, and their combination, while struggling to somehow maintain the “human” in the equation.
This session will describe how organizations are approaching future workforce planning, unpack the ‘4B’ formulation: Build, Buy, Borrow and Bot, and comment on approaches for newskilling at scale. Session reviews strategic questions raised in the HRPS November 2018 newsletter, will conclude with specific action suggestions for HR leaders to consider.
