ENGAGE & CONNECT:
The New Normal when Back to the Office: Flexible Work Arrangements.
Led by Dr. Carmen Panzar, Senior Talent Management Consultant at Wolters Kluwer
After months of remote work due to the Covid pandemic, companies are preparing to return to the office. However, many employees are concerned about working again from office locations, whether it is due to their personal health safety, or their family health, or due to additional challenges with schooling young children.
In the last decade we saw several trend-setting companies banning, or significantly calling off remote work (e.g., IBM, Yahoo). Now companies are reconsidering, as they are encouraged by employees maintaining productivity during the extended remote work imposed by Covid. Peter Drucker's declaration in 1989 that "commuting to office work is obsolete" seems to become the new normal.
Human Resources professionals, more than ever, are on the front line to revive/create and implement Flexible Work Arrangements (FWA) policies and training their employees and managers in an accelerated fashion to be ready for implementation in anticipation of the approaching dates of returning to the office.
Join our October Engage & Connect Session to discuss creating effective FWA policies that build employee engagement while ensuring business needs are met in the new context.
