|Message From Our Co-Presidents|
Happy New Year! We are excited about the excellent programs we'll be bringing to you in the months ahead! We're off to a great start, which began on January 10th with How Cognitive Computing Will Disrupt (and Improve) HR, led by Susan Steele & Stephen Kelly from IBM.
As we begin our 2018 adventures, we'd like to take a moment to welcome our new NYHRPS Board Members, whose nominations were officially ratified by our members in December.
Erik, Karen, Susan and MIchelle bring an exceptionally strong set of skills and diverse backgrounds to our Board. You will be able to read more about them, and all of our leadership team here.
Please join us in wishing a fond farewell to Valerie Norton, a long-time Board member and former co-President of NYHRPS. Valerie has accepted a new position as CHRO of Habitat for Humanity in Atlanta. We are grateful for Valerie's innovative ideas and high engagement, and wish her all the best in her new role. Valerie will continue to be active in HRPS, and we look forward to staying in touch with her at our national meetings and conferences.
We'd also like to thank our active and dynamic committees, including event greeting, programming, marketing, membership, mentoring, forums, and sponsorship. Their efforts are what makes NYHRPS the place to share innovative ideas, learn about breakthrough practices and optimize the HR function's positive impact on organizational performance. Click here if you'd like to get engaged with some of these efforts.
In closing, we'd like to remind you that with our switch to our new and enhanced website, we have a new meeting registration process. Please remember to join or renew before you register for an event. Look here to see the full range of thought-provoking programs we are offering in 2018.
We look forward to seeing you often in the year ahead!
