Administrative Manager - Alison Normand

Alison Normand is the Administrator for NYHRPS. She is responsible for managing all membership activities, handling event registration as well as coordinating all NYHRPS events.

Alison Normand has run her own VA (Virtual Assistant) business since 1997. She has assisted various clients over the years, mostly networking associations, both in Human Resources and in Business, along with sole proprietorships. Alison has gained all of her clientele through her excellent reputation in the VA marketplace.

Alison attended Rutgers University, graduating with a BFA in Acting. At that time, Alison pursued acting and worked in regional theatres such as Cincinnati Playhouse, OH; Wayside Theatre, VA; Worcester Foothills Theatre, MA; and Pan Asian Rep, NYC; among others. When she wasn’t acting, Alison worked for temporary employment agencies in New York.

In the beginning of her Virtual Assistant career, Alison was recommended to a women’s networking organization as their assistant through a friend. She launched her sole proprietorship with this new client and they retained Alison for the next six years. As her virtual assistant business grew, Alison realized another career was born. Since then, all of her clients have been long-term relationships and she has been hired to do project management as well.

Alison lives in NJ with her husband, Christopher and their dog, Max.
