NYHRPS is a dynamic community of collegial strategic HR professionals in the New York metropolitan area that:
• builds and shares knowledge about leading-edge and disruptive new approaches to human capital practices.
• creates meaningful dialogue and energizes HR Leaders to develop collaborative partnerships and transform organizations, in both thriving and challenging times.
• provides networks to incubate new strategic ideas and customize best practices within a professional and supportive learning environment.
• provides access to activities and tools from the “world beyond New York” to help us deepen our practice.
Over the last few years, NYHRPS has made substantial progress. This is due in large part to the efforts of our former President, Laura Mindek. We have raised the level of programming, attracted higher attendance, augmented our paid membership and enhanced our website with more information on upcoming events - and we plan to do more: Our 2010 programming will be focused on three main topics: Post-Recession Talent Retention, New Trends and their Implications for HR and Strategic and Organizational Expectations of the HR Role.
